But until then, we'll just have to enjoy his very cool take, along with Kat Edmonson, a brand new, fresh voice and jazz musician, on a song that his been recorded by virtually everyone who has ever made a Christmas record. If you are not a Lyle Lovett fan, shame on you! He is one of the most original singer/songwriters ever to come out of the great state of Texas and that is no easy task, given the music that has been made by artists, famous and infamous, from the Lone Star State. 
In today's Bonus Countdown tune, Lovett brings his signature wry, dusty vocals to a nice, easy country jazz arrangement of one of the most recorded Christmas duets ever penned - Bonus Track No. 5 on The 2012 XMAS Countdown - Baby It's Cold Outside by Lyle Lovett With Kat Edmonson.
