RANDOM VAGABOND ALERT - HAUTE BBQ

COMING TO YOU FROM A BUNKER SOMEWHERE IN MIDTOWN ATLANTA
The new year has brought very busy to do lists preventing me from posting any verbose, urbane and witty recollections of travels in the Americas or elsewhere.. This week I am on the road, visiting my son and his new bride in Atlanta where the women are good looking and the traffic is ugly. I am here to take advantage of a Christmas gift from my son - an evening with one of the favorite sons of Texas, Robert Earl Keen and a BFF of another Texan, Lyle Lovett. Robert Earl and Lyle co-wrote "The Front Porch Song", which, like all songs from these two, paints a vivid picture of the heart and soul of  what Texans like to call "A Whole Other Country". It's good enough to place both troubadours in The Nomad Architect Music Hall of Fame..As long as we have writers/singers like Robert Earl and Lyle, true American Music will always inform us about the good, the bad and the ugly of our lives. But I digress

Random Vagabond Alert !!

While here in Atlanta, we decided to check out a barbecue place in Midtown. The place - Bonelick Barbecue. The food - The best barbecue this side of Sprayberry's in Newnan, GA. Reading the menu alone will bring chuckles and raised eyebrows. Only in Atlanta will you find cutting edge culinary variations applied to this most southern of traditional foods. From the Jalapeno Boiled Peanuts to the killer "Sammies" with pulled pork, cole slaw and your choice of sauce on  Texas Toast, its like no other BBQ you will have anywhere. I highly recommend you check it out when you are in the area.
