Harry Connick, Jr. is an amazing pianist, singer, arranger and band leader. When I saw him in Ruth Eckerd Hall, an almost acoustically perfect venue designed by William Wesley Peters, a Frank Lloyd Wright protégé, in Clearwater, Florida this jazz artist, who played a duet with the great Eubie Blake when he was just nine years old, was most impressive. His renditions of both classic jazz and new music displayed a deep understanding of what great jazz music is all about. And his mastery of the keyboard is second to none. In the intimate setting of a small church, today's tune, much to the surprise of the story teller, tells of the discovery of Santa as the real deal - Harry Connick, Jr. performs It Must Have Been Old Santa Claus.
You Just Gotta Believe!
