The first time I heard Diana Krall, I became an instant fan. The British Columbia native is a master of the keyboards with a smooth, sexy contralto voice. It's the total package for the making of great jazz. I had the distinct pleasure of seeing her live several years ago and it did not disappoint. If you like jazz, particularly simple jazz created with piano, a rhythm section and excellent vocals, then Krall is a definite Bucket List Entry. For some reason, I fell in love with jazz when I was a kid. I loved all the big bands and great jazz artists from the forties, in particular. It's artists like Diana Krall who keep this uniquely American genre of music alive and healthy.
