DECEMBER 8 - NO. 18 ON THE 2023 CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN -IT'S TIME FOR SOME COOL MUSIC FROM AN OLD GUY - YOU WILL KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS AFTER HEARING TODAY'S TUNE!

Dion Francis DiMucci was born July 18, 1939. That makes him a very young 84. Today on the Countdown, we're celebrating Christmas with a great tune by this iconic singer, known simply as DIONHe had 39 Top 40 hits in the late 1950s and early 1960s as a solo performer, and with The Belmonts and The Del-Satins. Vagabonds that grew up in the fifties and sixties will remember some of Dion's biggest hits - Run Around Sue, The Wanderer, Ruby Baby, Lovers Who Wander and many more. As a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Grammy Hall of Fame inductee, he is still singing and playing as he combines rock, pop, doo-wop, R&B, folk and blues in his music.

Playing some blazing guitar with Mr. DiMucci is the one and only Joe Bonamassa. Even though he's relatively young, at the tender young age of 46, he draws power and poetry from his guitar. He is a classic Blues player with his own personal take on blues and rock. Bonamassa has played with some of the most prominent singers and players in modern music. He shows his mastery of his instrument with great chords and riffs on today's Christmas tune.

Turn it up for DION and Joe Bonamassa performing a song written by Dion in 2016 - You Know It's Christmas.

BONUS TRACK - Eight time Grammy winner Keb Mo has been described as "a living link to the seminal Delta Blues that travelled up the Mississippi River and across the expanse of America"I had the pleasure of seeing this fascinating artist live awhile back - very enjoyable. Today's Bonus Track reminds us of things we can laugh about during our greatest season - Christmas Is Annoying.

As we get closer and closer to the big day, I bet a lot of you Vagabonds have gotten up close and personal with AMAZON. To relieve stress, especially at Christmas time, put on the headphones and listen to some music presented by The Nomad Architect.
