JOSEPH LEONARD BONAMASSA - aka Joe Bonamassa - was born and grew up in New York. But he plays like he was born in Louisiana! The multi-Grammy award winning guitarist and singer started playing guitar at the age of four and had his own band by the age of twelve. His father, an avid fan of great music, ensured that Joe got some training by the legendary guitarist Danny Gatton. He was also influenced by Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck at a very young age. On a personal note, both my kids are big fans of this immense talent. My daughter gave me a Bonamassa/Beth Hart Vinyl last Christmas. Gotta listen to this stuff turned up loud!
