12/09/24 NO. 17 ON THE NOMAD ARCHITECT CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - IT'S MONDAY - WAKE UP & SMILE WITH SOME HOT CHRISTMAS BIG BAND JAZZ

I LOVE Jazz Music but I LOOOOVE BIG BAND JAZZ MUSIC. I saw the Count Basie Orchestra with the Welsh full throated singer Tom Jones in my late teens. We saw Trumpeter Winton Marsalis with his Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. at FAMU's Lee Hall right here in Tallahassee 2010. I'm not bragging, I'm just making a point. Big Band Jazz Music, slow or fast, goes deep into your pleasure zone. Those sounds of trumpets, trombones, saxes and drums will make you smile and/or dance. Big Band Music is quintessential American Music with roots that go all the way back to the 1910's. It dominated popular music in the 1940's. Perfect to celebrate Christmas with. Just spin the records and enjoy.

Today, The Nomad Architect has selected some Big Band Tunes for all Vagabonds to get merry with.

First Up - JINGLE BELLS from WINTON MARSALIS JAZZ BIG BAND.

Bonus Track - Direct from the studio - THE COUNT BASIE ORCHESTRA - A VERY SWINGIN' BASIE CHRISTMAS.

And A Special Bonus Track - WHITE CHRISTMAS by UNITED STATES NAVY BAND!

Merry Christmas to all you Merry Wanderers. Hope you enjoy these tunes.
